ME
As a belgian violinist, pianist and composer, Andreas Moulin tries to express his inner stories in every way possible. Because of not feeling fully at home in one specific box, he always considers himself fluttering around in different art disciplines.
He is active in a wide range of music styles and takes part into several artistic projects.
Andreas performs as a soloist, sometimes as an orchestra violinist but playing as a chambrist he likes the most.
The silence, vague impressions and his dreams of flying are three of his basic sources of inspiration from which he writes and performs.

Originally from Cameroon, Awa works as a snow groomer driver in La Thuile, the last Italian town before France. At the end of her shift, she crosses paths with Souleymane, a young man desperately trying to cross the border. Helping Souleymane traverse the mountain might be Awa's only way to silence a deep and constant guilt.

The competition is a challenge for many young composers and pianists to give the best of themselves, not only on stage but also during the intense preparation that such an event requires. The same goes for their teachers and parents, of course!
The jury, consisting of M. Verlaak, D. Janssens, M. Coppens, and M. Bisceglia, chaired by P. Swerts with J. Lust as secretary, announced the winners on 1/5/2024:
Category A: "Dirty Dishes – Vieze Vaat" by Job Clement
Category B: No winners
Category C: "Miroir Nocturne" by Andreas Moulin
Congratulations to the winners! Their works will be performed during the selection round on January 25 and 26, 2025, and the final on March 2, 2025.
